About my Work
I have always gained much satisfaction from the art of drawing, through watching something develop on a piece of paper or canvas before me. My subjects are chosen by what captures my imagination.
Recently, I’ve concentrated on animal and human portraiture but I’m also fascinated by fragility and man’s inability to slow down time.
My work is mainly figurative. Portraying an image in a realistic way gives depth, structure and detail to the finished piece, and I enjoy the challenge of choosing and using various media within this framework.
I graduated from De Montfort Universary, Leicester in June 2010 with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art. I continue to paint regularly and my work frequently appears in exhibitions in and around Oxford.
